Overview
First introduced in late 1966, the Chevy Camaro is one of the original American muscle cars. Made to go fast and look cool, the Camero is now an iconic car for many car enthusiasts.
The newer models try to bring back the old, familiar feelings of a bygone era while at the same time embracing the modern conventions that new cars welcome. The 2022 Camero is a stellar example of an updated classic.
Pricing
The Camaro 2022 is a reasonably-priced sports car. The base model starts at just over $26,000 for the coupe, with the convertible running slightly higher at just under $33,000. Various builds and packages can be selected to suit your personal needs. The top-of-the-line ZL1 model will start around $63,000, still reasonable considering what you are getting.
MPG
The 2022 Camaro gets 22 miles to the gallon in the city and 30 on the highway. It is better than it has been, but this will also vary slightly depending on the type of driving you will be doing.
Pros & Cons
The Camero, as any car does, has a few drawbacks. There is a small interior, and the backseat is more of a decoration. The trunk is also reasonably small, so nothing very bulky or oddly shaped is likely to fit into it. Handling is just alright, but the V-8 is like a symphony.
The Camero is the best bet to get the most bang for your buck though. The exterior is sleek and futuristic, and the color choices are fitting. Still a great car, despite a few drawbacks.
Performance
The Camero comes with three available engine options. All perform well. Some just consume a bit more gas. The choices are:
- 275-hp turbocharged 4-cylinder
- 335-hp 6 cylinder
- 455-hp 8 cylinder
These all have their own benefits and drawbacks. The four-cylinder is better with gas. The 8-cylinder is the iconic Chevy small-block V-8 and gives 455 pounds-feet of torque. There certainly is an engine for every need. The performance for the price, though, is the best for the money.
Interior and Comfort
The interior of the 2022 Camero is somewhat cramped. The driver and the passenger will be comfortable, but the backseat is negligible for anyone but a child. Despite this, the interior does improve on the last version. As a daily driver, it is just fine, but it might be uncomfortable on a road trip of any distance.
Safety
The Camaro 2022 contains standard safety features, such as airbags. Lan assist features are available as an added package. These assists will alert you for the front, back, and blind spots, and when making lane changes to ensure safety.
Technology & Infotainment
The Camero has some standard technology included in every model you can choose from. This technology includes Bluetooth connectivity, wireless charging, and easy integration with both Apple and Android devices.
The infotainment center gives easy access to your connected devices, and there are optional remote-assisted capabilities for those looking to streamline their ride.
