Hello, I am James from Texas and have been lurking on the site for a while, particularly in the Fuel Systems section. I am all over the web using this screen name and also "BigBlockRanger", which is a reference to my past project.

Current project is a 1983 Mustang GT with a 545" BBF. It is my fun car/ street car that I have been working on for the last few years. It ran a best of 10.56 @ 127 on Drag Week this year and I was the runner-up in the Street Race Big Block N/A class.

Now that the basic drive train has proven to be reliable, I am starting to look harder at tuning and in particular, tuning the carburetor. I ran across a List 6464 1050 that has had quite a bit of airflow work performed on it by Chuck Nuytten. It is in super condition and am intrigued by the 3 circuit conversion that has been discussed at length on this site. My car currently has a 4150 950HP, so by switching, I am hoping to pick up a few tenths in the quarter.

A link to the car build:

Anyway I will probably continue to lurk and learn as carbs are still semi-voodoo to me.

Thanks!

Not enough stations around here carry E85 for it to be really feasible. I think we have 2 stations here for a population of over 1/4 million people.

Welcome Ford brother. Good luck with your carb project. You will get it sorted with all the info and help in the Village. Cheers Colin.
