I hope I still get to do that John, I really do. Things aren't looking so good right now though, so I'll have to see how it pans out. I heard a bit of info today, but I'm waiting to hear more before I make a final decision. Some people might not be happy with how I make it either......but we'll see.

If all comes together, I'll have vids. Look for 6 second runs here in Denver...........Might be a 6.999999999999999999, but it will be a six!!!

I critical part did happen today though, and that's the trailer. I don't have a new one yet, but I do have one I can use to get it out here if need be, so that's one more thing off the list.

I'll keep you guys posted.

Life really sucks sometimes............Looks like the deal with my car is off, so that basically cancels the deal with the new car, as I need the money from selling the old car to make this happen. I won't go into details, but let's just say that money from the buyer wasn't the issue, nor my willingness to sell the car............I'll leave it at that..........

Can you say roller coaster? After having a really bad day yesterday, I have decided to contact my buyer and the other seller and tell them I want to keep the deal in place........I need to work on "something" here at home to make all this come together, but I'll figure it out.......So for now the deal is still on.....

Ken, thanks..............

When I bought my dragster I paid the guy I got it from to deliver it since he already had the trailer setup for it. That gave me a few months to find that used trailer that wasn't worth a damn! :-

Update on new car deal. Old car is sold, cash is in hand! Now I need to get it sent off to the owner of the other car as agreed, and figure out how I'm going to come up with the rest!! Got a plan in place for that, just have to see what happens first!!

Well, deposit is in on the car and it's mine. We've been in a bit of a holding pattern because my buddy that helps me with funding has been waiting on a settlement check from his insurance. It was supposed to be sent out over two weeks ago, but they called him Monday and said it was in the mail. So, if that is the case, it should be at his place today or tomorrow. Once it is, it's another 7-10 days for it to clear the bank, then he needs to transfer the funds I need to me, and I can then get the new trailer and go get the car. Otherwise, it would be here by now!!! We don't have control over the insurance, so hopefully they aren't delaying him any longer. I'm dying to get it here, as I'm also recamming the motor, freshening the heads and bottom end, getting the converter restalled and having another one made that's dedicated for the nitrous (you can swap a trans in this car in 15 minutes.....one converter for Super Comp and brackets, the other for Fast 16/Top Dragster....). Add to that I've got a paint sponsor so the car will get repainted before I put the motor back in it............New slicks and possibly front runners as well.......

That's where I'm at!! I'll know by tomorrow evening if we got the check or not. I need to get hot on finding a trailer now though, so I can start working a deal on it once the money hits..............

Just another update!! Car is paid for and sitting at my buddy's house in North Carolina! Dennis (the former owner) found a deal on a dragster about 50 miles from where my buddy lives so he delivered the car to him! Right now he's working on getting a trans built for it, putting the new slicks on since it doesn't cost him anything, and finding a trailer for me to bring it back in. I can't wait! Engine is apart, cylinders are honed. Just waiting for new cam and hardware and new rings, then we'll work on the intake, prep it for the fogger nozzles that will come later, and get it all back together!

This is gonna be fun!
