Since I have been running the VP C-16 fuel, aqnd even when I ran VP C-12, I noticed that after a few pass's, when I floored the pedal, it was climbing slowly up thru the rpm's and then I noticed that it was not hitting full throttle a few times!!! O:) O:) O:) I double checked my full throttle at the cable and it goes to full throttle when not running, but when I am on the brake, it rose slowly. I have the Lokar throttle cable setup and the cable works perfectly when unhooked.

What I have to do with this new fuel is, after about 2-3 pass's I have to pull the carb off and flip it upside down after draining it, to lube the throttle shafts with either wd40 or other lubes to keep it free'd up!
Yeah, it's a 3 circuit :- but I bet a 2 circuit would do it as well. I need to find a way to make this extra procedure go away, any idea's?????? I suppose I could just keep spraying Carb cleaner down the hatch every few laps, but there has to be another way around this. ](*,)

That is the exact reason I went to a rod style linkage. I also had the same problem with my lokar cable setup. Its in the cable, it has the ability to flex and put it in a little bind. I fought with this for a while before I finally figured out what was happening. Replacement cable would work for a while. The solid linkage fixed it.

Good luck.

I had the extra spring on mine also, On mine, with the hood off you could mat it, and watch the link move the last 1/4 inch, then some times it would be slow to release. The linkage style gives you such a better throttle feel, and a more postive feel for WOT. That cable cause me alot of inconsistancy issues.

Hmmmm, some good points there guys :-k I do have a toe style foot throttle, and I do have (2) return springs and I thought they were causing the slow full throttle as well. I can slam it to the floor and watch it move slowly trying to get to full throttle!!! ](*,) I can notice it in my video's as well, the rpm's come up way too slow. Back to the drawing board I guess :-
Thanks for the tips guys.

John

Exactly,
There is no way I would have a cable style linkage on a race car unless it was a Morse cable.
