I used some Unlimited Fiberglass fenders on a Nova I had years ago. They fit pretty good, but the finish was not as good as a Harwood, fibers sticking out around the edges and that type of thing. But that was ~20yrs ago and things may have changed.

At the time, Harwood only had one piece front ends and I wanted to keep the original grille, headlights etc. Unlimited had separate pieces.

I had the Unlimited stuff on my Pinto and it had to be the roughest fiberglass I have ever seen. It needed a ton of bodywork before it could be painted. This was probably 20 years ago like Rick but it seems like I saw a post over on RJ a couple of years ago and seems like the quality hadn't improved.

Thanks guys. You just confirmed what I already knew.

I ordered a scoop from them a week or so ago and it was delivered today. That's the worst piece of fiberglass work I've EVER seen! I think I could have made one that looked that good with a bush ax! O:) In fact, when I sent them an Email about it just a bit ago I called it "JUNK"! I'll bet a body shop would charge me over $100 just to get it ready for primer! As it is, I'll have to buy about $35 worth of stuff (Bondo, sand paper, spot putty and primer) to try to make it usable myself!

Unreal!

I wish you woulda asked before you ordered from them [-( . I bought the stuff for the Probe from Glasstek in Napierville, IL and his stuff is second to none IMO. The fit was very nice and it only needed a little sanding and some primer before paint. Of course it had to be trimmed to fit.

Well, I still haven't heard anything from these people on this POS "scoop" they sent me? I Emailed them to two different Email addresses they had listed on the same day I posted this thread and I haven't gotten "jack" back from them. So, I guess that means they just don't give a flip whether I was satisfied with their stuff or not.

Think I'll leave this "sticky" up for a while and let Google, MSN and other bots read it. Maybe that will help this complaint make it to the search engines so others will know how they do.

Still no word from these people on this junk scoop? I guess they just don't care about their customers, sort of like they've got my money so screw me now. Hopefully Google, Yahoo and MSN bots that hang out on here will pick this thread up so others that might be looking to purchase something from them will see how they do. ](*,)

Yeah its ashame. You would think they would want to produce a QUALITY product in order to INCREASE their business.I called awhile back to ask if their 6 inch cowl hood for a vega was a Cowl scoop added to a stock hood or was it a 1 piece mold. The lady replied"its a scoop added to a hood".I told her the last time I bought a hood with a scoop added to a hood it looked like crap and asked if the quailty had changed. She replied "nope its the same" and hung up on me. =; O:)

Heres a few pics. Some are hard to see the blemishes but lots of air pockets, thin spots, deep uneven places, just over all a piece of crap... O:)
After lots of filler and lots of work it actaully looked pretty good but no one should have to do that much work on hood. They also told me when I purchased it it would be smooth and gel coated when shipped.. :- :-
I'll just link them.

I wish I would've known you wer considering them before you placed your order. I bought a hood and scoop from them for my 64 ( back in 95 - 96 ) and the scoop was really nice, no problems with it all, the hood ... the exterior looked good but the bottom side looked like it was setting next to a wood chipper while they laid the resin on ... I spent at least 10 hrs. cleaning up the bottom making it look decent.

Not having learned enough ... I went back to them in 2000 and ordered a deck lid and front and rear bumpers. The front wasnt terrible, but the rear was wider ( taller ) on 1 side than the othr, the sides wrapped around the body and they stuck out like air vent. I spent days slicing and repositioning everything to get them to look decent.

The Deck lid was just terrible on both sides and for some reson after the sealer, primer and paint you were able to see the lines of the fiberglass mat through everything ... probably painted it 5 times before I just accepted it.

I will try my luck at making my own parts before I ever consider even looking through their catalog again

dont like to trash on line but the list of people not happy with them is long and getting a problem fixed is useless . my fenders took 10hrs of fitting and were not bolt in as stated on the catalog .and were not ready to go either /

I will post pics as soon as I figure out how to make em smaller..
