What dictates how long of a tub a chassis will need when doing a backhalf? I see them in Jeg's with 3 different lengths, and on other sites. Is it if you jam the suspension way up into the body???? or have a really low body heigth? My Elky with a hugh bed area will be almost a normal ElCamino stance in the back, with a slight rake down in front. 16 x 33's and a 4 link. Any takers on this one??? Thanks guys
John

Now, I noticed the length in the mags, are there different widths also of the main tub?, not the side half moon part. Sorry guys, I just don't know this stuff yet. Thanks Barry for your thoughts also, man your car looks clean I'm jealous

 \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ on the "cozy" comment lively
Yeah, just keep on teasing me Barry with your world class hotrod, where's Margarita Man when you need him
Looks like a front Lexan job in the making also Barry? and why did you go with Alum?, isn't that more prone to dings from rocks and debris???? It looks great regardless Barry, really, very nicely done chassis. \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/
So I take it the main tub sheet has different lengths, AND WIDTHS offered as well? My chassis guy says he will just make a set, but without knowing what he will charge me, I figured if I buy a set he can't really overcharge me for cutting it from a sheet, bead rolling it, bending the edge lip and so on. Thanks guys, and Lively, your a card, a hoot, and crazy Furd lover with Chevy conn rods on your ride =; =; ever get them done up and on the Ford yet? and what size tires are you running also lively?

John those pictures are from when I was building/putting it together. It's been done now for a couple years. I have tub liners so the tubs don't get dinged up. there on the inside and are held in with 4 duz buttons...Here's one at the track \:D/

slow72velle,
Man, look at the Blue Elky(where's the hot butter melting emoticon)? That is one sweet looking Elky. I have noticed a few Elky's that are big tire chassis cars, and that all mostly had a nose up stance and I always wondered, why have it so low in the back, and have such a high front end? :-k , kind of like the old Gasser's :-k :-k and also thinking air getting up and under the front end also was a increase in drag also, but that's my Butt talkin right I was thinking if either making the ride heigth a little old school(slight rake down in the front, Slight) or make it level front to rear and the chassis will take care of itself, I just didn't want the nose up atitude while going down track, bad enough I have so much frontal area hitting the wind, now more underside hitting it up high lke that!!!! Thoughts????
