 Post subject: my newest project

its nothing fancy but its mine.lol
got the front clip and bed pulled off of it got the frame cleaned and painted. here are a few pics of it tore apart and pressure washing the frame. its ugly but it will come around..oh yeah the guy in the pics is my dad. his health hasnt been to well lately so it was good to see him back out at the garage.

frame is now painted firewall cleaned and painted took the big ugly a/c box off. cab sanded to the metal and under primer interior gutted. still a hooptie but getting there. lol

here is the front end put back together. im getting a new chrome bumber and blinkers for it so the primer on the blinkers is no big deal.

eagle 421 stroker crank. 3.875 stroke

WOW, that's a ton of work. I thought I had to do alot to drop an engine and converter in my altered.Looks good so far.

Avery .. The project looks to be coming along really well !  Will it be Street / Strip or just Strip ? You've done a good job on it. What Block did you end up using ?

Keep us posted as progress is made.

it will be street strip but more track time. its a 509 casting 400 block. thanks for the compliments guys

You have a good start. My wife said," where was you when this picture was taken"? Oh that's not you. Seems your dad and I have  a lot in common, or my wife is saying all old gray fat guys look the same. I'm glad he's getting around too. Some times we don't appreciate feeling good till we don't. My dad used to come to the race car shop even though he wasn't a racer, he was hell on wheels as a machinist 45 years as a millwright. He became a race fan in his later years.

It looks like you've put a lot of work in it . I noticed the date on the pics and if the dates are right you've been working on it for 4 1/2 years! Hang in there...your s10 will be done someday.

I'm not real sure but I think you might have just insulted avery's dad 8-[ .

the dates not right chuck. my wifes camera was having issues with keeping the dates right. ive just been working on it for about 5 months maybe. and thanks guys. i hope it runs ok.
