Here is a few build pics I shot during the , so far, 3 year project of a drag car I've been wanting to do for some time. The beginning I guess is the best place to start, so here it is.
Image
A craigslist field find for $200....complete with a very large hole in the oil pan where #6 rod and piston used to be. Didn't care, it was all coming out anyway...because I was planning to do this to it anyway...

When building a race car, why is hindsight always 20/20? Several things I would have done differently, but too late now.
Image
sits pretty low if you ask me....I'm happy with it so far
Lightened it up some too....stock door and glass with internal weighed 106 pounds each!.....down to 22lbs. the way they hang now

More to come

The stock front brakes were trashed in favor of these weight saving Wilwood beauties
Image
Lexan polycarbonate and a VFN glass trunk lid saved me a ton of weight also
Image
The glass lid now has a flipup access to the fuel cell for between rounds fueling

April-June----ish. After 3 years I want to get it going but dont want to rush it.
History says I will miss something if I do that. I have the next 9 days off, should see a ton of progress.
