I always watch your boat related posts. I used to be involved in boat racing. We ran outboard powered hydros and runabouts. C modified hydro (APBA) was the class we ran best in. Good luck with the new hull.

I see you have a lot of sanding and painting to do. Is all the holes in the transom for a jack plate? How does this hull match up with the one your running now?  I figure over all weight makes a difference, but does front to back side to side or even center of gravity hight make a difference?
Nothing like a new build to get you excited no matter what kind of racing.

thank's old timer.. \:D/

bubster, the hull is diffrent from the extreme, the new hull is a chine boat, the chines are at 30 deg. it is lighter by 350 lbs which is not a good thing and also shorter by 1ft 8 in which is a disadvantage also. the water we been running has been hard on these smaller boats but it was available and affordable, we use to smoke this boat with the extreme but it was under powered. my 283 will bring this boat to life just hope it stays on the water =;  =; i have not checked the hull desighn yet on the bottom to see how it will ride on the water, will check it soon and figure how i want the plate adjusted..

thank's tony.

will keep you updated...

New projects are fun. It just doesn't look like much as a bare hull. But I'm sure it will be awesome when completed. =;

I noticed in the 1st pics the guys are wearing coats. Then in the last ones all short sleeves and 1 guy without a shirt.  Now tony 1st posted this about a week ago so it looks like the weather changes there like it does in Kentucky =;  =;

So is this new boat replacing last year's Championship winning boat, or is it an addition to the team? Either way, good luck with it, being an X-Drag boat racer myself, I always enjoy reading your posts to see how you guys are doing. \:D/  \:D/  \:D/

it is an addition to the team, my son mike turned 18 and will drive the boat in stock 315 2bbl class, using the 283 2bbl from the extreme. so we will run stock 2bbl and 4bbl classes.. the boat has potencial and i am working on the setup to make it a front runner, have watched the boat race since it was built in 1992 and have raced against it, we smoked this boat with the extreme in virginia in 04, i noticed many problems watching it and hopefully will be able to correct them.
