I would take it apart too, just to make sure everything is good and ya don't have any surprises going down the track. Keep up the pics, it's fun to follow the progress. \:D/  \:D/  \:D/  BTW, my Nova has stock 12 bolt drums on the back with Wilwood heavy duty disc on the front and it stops great at 3350lbs.

Them brakes look like older Ford F250 truck. I've seen a lot of cars with rear only brakes stop from over 180 mph, with that kind of brake.

The problem with drum brakes is they drag and drag inconstantly, there heavy and ugly and don't stop nearly as good as disc brakes... =;


And a wheel cyd won't take nearly as much pressure as a caliper will O:)

Mel you will find a lot of the older roadsters the drive line will be set off to the right side they use to build a lot of them like that a good friend of mine loves those things and has had a lot of them and they was off set also .
But the rear now that's just not right.
and of course you need that BBC back in there. with the injection of course
