I welded the housing back up, still need a new center section. Im starting to think that 540 is to much motor for the car. If only someone I knew had a dragster to put it in!!!!!!!!

The tilt front end is done pretty good, the subframe is welded in nice and tight. The paint job is new, he sanded it down to primer in spots to make it look old then put clear over it. The wiring is going to take me forever to figure out. I will post more pics as I get into it, I love these old trucks.

Dayum, that thing would look "bitchin" with a 3 or 4 inch top chop! I kinda liked them trucks with all that glass around the back of the cab too. That 308 gear would work great with a Turbo 700R4 with OD. I can see it now, 60 MPH at 1200 RPM or less and a top end of about 160!

Nice project. I think for the wiring I would make it easy, and get a painless universal harness, and take all the old stuff out..
