Anyone use this http://www.tsr-racing.com/shop/powergli ... =APG-T2105 or purchased this for those swap meet finds?I've bought one and looks like my glide is diff a 1.82 gear set(with this guage)

I've seen a few ask "how do you tell if you have a 1.76 or 1.82 without tear down"... thought this was a neat little trick tool that one could take to the swap meets and know instantly.Unless anyone here knows it doesnt actually work?

The difference is in the output shaft diameter, the 1.76 gear is about 1.170". The 1:82 output shaft diameter is about 1.149". You can use a mic or caliper to tell the difference. Also the input shaft lengths are different, the 1.76 is 12 7/8", the 1.82 is 12 5/8".

Yeah I just usually measure the output shaft as I have trouble remembering the input shaft lengths. ;-)

Of maybe 40 i've personally looked at, the dimple on the output shaft is about 7/16 - 1/2" in diameter on a 1.76 and maybe 5/16" on the 1.82 it's very noticeable once you look at a few.
