How's the car been doing Barry? Have you tried anything new? Just haven't heard anything from you on it lately.

Don the cars was ok till I installed the other motor ](*,) ....The carb was not perfect on the other motor but was ok so I just left it alone as I figured I would try to tune it with the other motor...Well after a few weekends and a few phone calls this last weekend it came to a head and I was done with it!!! I have talked to Jeff over on ST and he is close to me so I boxed it up and sent it to him....

I just can't be trying to get it to run right every weekend and have to deal with it stalling running like shiz while trying to stage the car and basically throwing away a hundred bucks away every weekend O:) ...

with this motor I moved the IC out to 50" and need to move it some more to try to take some hit out of it but was 1.17 60' and went 8.56..... So the motor is good and Mike did a nice job on the heads as the EGT's are alot closer than the other manifold I have that is not ported.....

Looking forward to getting that carb back and bolting it on to see how it runs =;

Barry - Is this new motor a 540? I thought I remembered that you were building one. I am thinking about building one this winter. Currently have a 522. I want to go a bit faster. Not sure if a 540 is the way to go. The altered and driver ways in about 2000 lbs. (fat driver)

oldtimer I think Ron Owens has a 540 in his Nova and I think he's had this engine "for a while" so he should be able to give you some feedback on one. I don't think Barry's engine isn't over 500 CI. More like a 482ish or something close to that.

I've screwed a few 540s together....what kind of questions are you wanting to ask?

I'll start a new thread. My questions really dont pertain to the subject of this thread. Dont want to be called a Hijacker.
