As mentioned in another post, I'm having problems with consistency that I didn't have last fall? One thing is that Pit Bitch noticed that there is very little tire smoke during the burnout? After he mentioned that I also noticed the lack of smoke, even while bumping the 8000RPM rev limiter in high gear? These are Hoosier tires that were new at the beginning of LAST season. There's plenty of wear dot left so I'm wondering what's up.

Anyone seen this before and if so then what is it telling me?

The side walls of the slick will wear out long before the tread will. But,...I'd be looking at your suspension movement. Sounds like you may have something binding. I'd remove the rear shocks and make sure they will freely travel throughout their range of movement. You'll have to remove the springs for this of course.

While the shocks are off then put the floor jack under the rear end and raise/lower it throughout it's range of movement. I've seen just 1 heim joint binding cause problems like this.

Don't know what it tells us but, when the tires don't smoke on the dragster the et's are every where and we replace them. Read my reply in the other thread.
