which is the best to use for vacuum advance on your ignition distributor, ported or manifold and your reason why.

Manifold will be full advance at Idle...Not something you want....Ported will be what you want...I think

Ported is what you use for advance. As you accelerate the vacuum increases to advance the timing as need.
