 Post subject: alternator wire size

I have a 1 wire alternator in my 86 monte carlo and the battery in the trunk is 4 wire big enough or should I use 2 wire??

#6 is good as long as it's thin strand and had a good jacket on it...Tractor supply has a #6 welding wire that works well and not to expensive..

O:) I ran #10 wire on the Studebaker, Camaro and all 3 dragsters that I've owned. Alternator output is 70amps.

Battery in the back so I made a good choice... =;
