G,day, Has any one done any real back to back testing between a 6al and 7al2 ignitions and verified any real world drag strip gains? Also has any one compared the hi rpm timing on these units as far as any inherent retarding as rpm increases, are they similar between the units? Engine is a roughly 600 hp na on alcohol. Thanks very much! Paul

A Gentleman that goes by the name Shrinker will enlighten you Im sure.I think if your timing is decreaseing when your rpm's go up your cam is probably walking if it is a solid roller cam, jmo.

I tried the 7AL-2 box in place of my 6AL box because I had a high end miss Mine is also on Alcohol. It seemed to help the miss. Not sure if it was a quincidence (sp) or what.. But I ran it the remainder of the season. I am putting my 6AL back in it for this season and maybe next year upgrade to a programmable box with Data logging.
