I got a free Allen Engine Analyzer, i believe it is from the early 70's and seems to work. There isn't any book nor model number, i have been on line trying to get info for it but come up short. Anybody here have experience with a gizmo like this? It was in a dealership at one time and been laying around for the past 20 years, the guy that had it was tossing it out when he thought of me. it is perfect for my shop as all i work on is traditional hot rods and stuff like that but many have msd ignition and i am afraid to connect it to that as it is probably expecting 12v at the coil. It is a big machine with timing, oscilloscope and analog scales for dwell, charge voltage etc. Anybody have experience with it?
Thanks, oj

Call this guy in Roanoke. Not sure that Custer himself is still alive or not but he was in the automotive equipment business way back and whomever owns that business now may have some info on that scope.

Charlie Custer (540) 774-2058 1814 Pelham Dr,Roanoke, VA 24018-2720

I use to work with a guy named Charlie Thomas in Lynchburg, Va that was what I'd call an "expert" in those AllenTronic scopes but that was back in 1987 and he was three days older than dirt then! I checked in the phone book and he's not listed anymore and probably has croaked.
