Racers,

I have the above listed components to be mounted in my new rail. It would be very helpful to see some photos of installations/component locations in a dragster.

If you want to share privately, PM me for email address.

Yeah I made a post the other day before I realized you were in a dragster, not a door car so I deleted it.

Never had one in either dragster so I got no pics but I'd still like to see that stuff away from the engine.  On the Cameron car I had there was a tray under the sheet metal in front of the windscreen (right above my legs) that housed the electronics and if I had that car now I'd be mounting in that area.  All the Innovate stuff is plastic so IMHO it needs to be in a semi protected area.  I've heard of guys mounting TC-4s in the engine bay on door cars but I didn't do that and wouldn't because of the harsh inviroment, ie heat and the possibility of water or other liquids getting to them.

FYI, mine are mounted with velcro!  No screws on any of them!

Ken,

Thanks for the note, any tidbit is helpful. I like the Velcro idea, sounds like a good idea plus would be a vibration damper.

Yeah Larry, velcro doesn't need any holes drilled in s**t either!  One word of caution though, that DL-32 needs to be horizontal and VERY close to level if you're going to log acceleration Gs so you may have to shim it up one end to get it where it needs to be.  The SSI-4 doesn't matter and mounting on that is only limited by cable length.

How many channels are you planning to log?

Are you dealing with Greg Kelly at Motorsports Innovations for your Innovate stuff?

Yes, bought the complete kit from Greg Kelly and he is very helpful. I am expecting some photos & other wiring diagrams from him.
