There is a Company Called Wyotech that makes a box for these mags. Actually it is a guy in his garage and he builds them in his spare time. I have one of his rev limiters. He also offers a rev limiter w/ an RPM activated on / off switch. He has been offering these boxes for Mallory and Vertex Mags for the past 20 + yrs. that I know of. I can get you his phone number if you want it.
I know MSD used to offer a signal convertor for these mags that you could use for a tachometer or shift light. I dont think you'll find a start retard for it.
Unless your running forced induction with a lot of boost or nitro and plan on mainly using it for racing .... I wouldnt run it. They tend to load up at idle and dont always start up as easily as an MSD or other CD Ignition.
Magento's tend to have a great wow or cool factor, but they just arent practical for anything but an all out race application.

I would trade / sell it myself. Get a 7AL-X And run all the gizmo's you want.
I also recalled that it was Autometer that offered the signal convertor for the mag.

If you are intent on running the mag, you can get around the hard starting by using a dual starting switch. One for turning engine over and one for ignition. Get it rolling over good then hit ignition. Old trick from the vertex mag days. I used to run this on an old style Hemi that demanded 40 degrees advance, no problems. They still use this old trick on NASCAR stuff, so I guess the old trick is still useful.
