Got a 7531 Barry and yes, so far I love it! Wish I had put it on the car last spring! It's just something about being able to connect your computer to your car and change stuff! =;

I got mine programmed to take 15 degrees of timing out and have it ramped back in over a 1.1 second length of time. It was at .5 second but it's still showing some tire spin so I'm trying to kill it a little more to make it hook up. Once I get a new set of tires I'll probably be able to take some of that out but for now it works for me!

Barry I don't own a laptop! If you look at the trailer pics up in the General section you will see a regular tower puter sitting behind the floor jack. The monitor was up front next to the porta potty. Once you get it where you need it there's really no need for a computer unless you have problems. Only thing I used the puter for last week was to look at the data after each run. I've also got the hand held unit for mine that allows me to change launch revs and retard right from the driver seat. Damn I love this technology stuff! =;

i use a laptop on the boats, a little weary about 120 volts ac being near water, plus the laptop i can take out to the boat. at service training school they use towers in all the test cells. also on the bombardia products we can use a pda which i like, (you can see the screen alot better) \:D/ .

Barry probably only need that in high gear, I would think. But yeah, that's the way I read it. The guys that use to run dual point distributors had a switch on the lead set of points that retarded the timing in high gear only. Not sure about low gear though.

Well, the Camaro doesn't have NOS on it! The Studebaker does but it's not hooked up right now.

Yeah, if it's available I would give it a try. Won't cost you anything to find out!
