Be careful with those plastic blocks!!! When I had my car built they had an issue with the as the inserts
that were in there are not positioned correctly sometimes..And they come from China!! He showed me one that was screwed up. The lower holes were where the motor plate bolted to were off by almost 1/4 of an inch!!! That was a few years ago so maybe there better now :- ....
He only used a factory block for mounting purposes...Just a FYI on that...

This injection picked up 4 tenths over a well set up gas carb on a 489ci big block. I was there to see it and i set up both systems. If it works for me my carb will be collecting dust \:D/

Thats pretty typical for a mild BBC. Difference is you have to bring 25 gallons of fuel to the track and I bring 5 and take 2 back home. =;
You will need to buy oil by the case too. =;

That 482 BBC I had years ago was .2 quicker and 7 MPH faster with two 750s on methanol than it was with fuel injection with methanol. And it used 2 quarts less fuel per quarter mile pass than it did on injection.

On the 489 it used 2 gallons per pass including driving back. We run a vac pump, oil comes out clean. I'll be using two block heaters on my motor to save on warm up time. It will use more than my alky carb but it'll be worth it. =;

I'm going to dyno the motor with the injection. It made 870hp with the alky carb. We'll see what the injection does. I'm thinking your injection set up was not right, converter not matched for it? something was just not right or you had one hell of a good carb set up.
