Well,
I think I just found the problem on my carb, I have ZERO T-slot showing with the front blades closed and I had the hi speed screw turned in quite a bit to keep this engine running, so, time to dig into the tool box for an old hacksaw blade and get to grinding.

My carb # is 80556-1 now back to the T-slot thread to find out how much to cut out. Thanks guys for posting this info, and too bad it took me this low to figure things out...with so many other things to do and check, I seemed to never have time to do this check and it is worth the time spent.
Can't wait to get this engine running again.....

followup info in April.. need to finish some engine and chassis stuff first and wait for warm weather to do adjustments.
