I am thinking about going to the track one final time this year, and want to look at a couple of new plugs, I have read about killing it at the stripe etc, well how do u do that when u can't throw it in neutral after the stripe? I don't have a clean neutral in my trans. I can put a new plug in do as little idle time as possible etc, but u still have the burnout and staging, how accurate can that be after all that plus the run? If we are looking deep inside why would it matter about killing it as quick as possible? I thought the upper portions of the porcelain were for idle and cruise anyway, and all the heat comes from the bottom of the plug? Can't i just get it stopped as quick as possible after the run then kill it asap?

Your best bet would be to ask Bruce (shrinker)
