I think I may have a power valve blown in my carb. Is there a simple way to test for this as I've not had an issue with them before and need to know what to look for. Thanks in advance. Dave

Dave ruptured PVs will cause rich idle and part throttle conditions as fuel is leaking into the manifold due to engine vacuum.

There is a tester made to check them with but as cheap as the PVs are you might just want to replace them to see if that fixes your problem.

I was told to try to turn the center piece. If it turns or moves it is bad. What ken says it true it will be fat.
