Thanks Ken,
I drilled as Scott posted up. I drilled a small hole to start. This weekend I should get a chance to see the result.
Where I like the idle to be when I race S/G, I just figured I was a bit to far into the transfer slot.
I guess if I have screwed it up, at worst I will need to find a new set off blades.
Cheers Colin.

Colin, On my 1250 E-85 carb I only have a 1/2 turn on the speed screws as it has T-slot showing with the blades completely closed. So I just have the speed screws set open just so it don't stick.
I had one hole drilled in the plates but now have 2 holes in each plate and that works a lot better as far as Idle is concerned. Also with a smaller hole I was able to go down on the size of the T-slot and also size of the discharge nozzle..Just keep drilling till you get the idle rpm you want...

I'm at .052" at the moment.
Cheers Colin

Colin, I am at .081 but running E-85 in a 540...I started out with a .085 and droped it down and also filed some of the cam on the acc pump and also dropped the nozzle from .045 to .042 and I am going to drop the nozzle down again may be .040 or smaller...
When you get the T-slot and pump shot right it will pick up your short times =;

You may have seen this but here is what I did with the acc pump cam..
You will find out when you get it correct you won't need all that pump shot.
