I have an APD 4150 Methanol carb on my 408 SBC. I have been running electronics class leaving with trans brake. No problems, runs great. I am considering experimenting with foot brake [no electronics] class and will be leaving at low RPM. [maybe just above idle]

Question, is it an option to use a primary power valve for cleaner running at low speeds?

Yeah, you can do that if you got a clue as to where the MJ needs to be with a PV in?? Numbers that work for a gas deal probably won't work with a carb setup for methanol.

I'd call APD and get them to tell ya where to start BUT before I changed anything, I'd make a few footbrake passes WITHOUT a PV just to get a baseline MPH to work back too once the PV is installed.

Oh, and make sure you get a PV with the GREEN rubber, not black as the black ones won't hold up with methanol.

Never mind:) The metering block is the APD custom billet and has no provision for a PV. I figger it is just fine as is.
