Is it legal to have a fuel cell and elctric fuel pump monuted in the trunk of a race car?

Yes It's legal as long as you have the required firewall between the trunk and the passenger area. BUT, most pumps like to be mounted below the fuel cell. Most pumps built now nave plastic parts inside them and if they're run dry it usually has a negative impact on those parts.
