Tell me a good 1050 Dominator core # to find for experimenting with a home done build up.

If I had it to do all over again I would build one from scratch with maybe some donor parts from a junk one.

I would get a BLP/Holley body that has the T slots corrected.

That's why I recommended an older style Non HP as they seem to have better quality control..
The HP 1050 I had had .50 slot showing with the throttle blades closed O:)
My non HP style 1150 has no slot showing with them closed...

If I remember correctly, a 9375 was a 3 circuit carb!!!! ???? O:) Would NOT be my first choice, BUT useable as a 2 circuit conversion! \:D/

An 8082 would be my FIRST choice as it was a 2 circuit to begin with. My second choice would be ANYTHING if I'm using some aftermarket billet blocks like the Quikfuel or BLPs w/2 circuit blocks!

FYI, My 1050 Dominator was a "gift" I got courtesy of none other than alteredoug here on MSV and was only the 8896 MAIN BODY. Originally I used some Holley 3310 metering blocks that I had "in stock" and some fuel bowls I got from BPTcarbs on fleabay. After running that carb on everything in the world (even gearhead's Phord engine) THAT carb, now with Quikfuel metering blocks is on the Studebaker and it ran 6.92 @ 99.8 MPH on PUMP GAS two years ago weighing in at 3500 lbs with a 434 pump gas engine!

But the bottom line is this. If you can find a used but useable Dominator that isn't horked up and is a good price.......BUY IT! WE CAN TELL YOU WHAT TO DO TO MAKE IT WORK FOR YOU! \:D/

The older bodies also have replaceable throttle shaft bushings.
