Looks like it's going to be a PIA to find Sunoco race gas here so looking at VP and wanted to know what is comparable with the Supreme Blue Sunoco..
Supreme is 109 motor octane
C14 is 114 and C12 is 108

Anybody explain this :-

VP-113 is what we run. I think this is close. http://www.vpracingfuels.com/vp-drag-racing.html It has a distinct smell. \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

The VP113 is a great fuel but is an oxygenated fuel, so you have to jet up to use it, about 4 jet sizes is a good place to start. We ran C12 with our 14.5 to 1 SB2, so use that as a guide.

We were real fat on ours and had to drop 3 sizes. #-o =; It is real consistent \:D/ \:D/ though.

I run C12 in my engine when it's on gas and that's 15.2 to 1.

I'm surprised to hear that Sunoco is hard to find up your way . I know there are a lot of dealers in NJ .A lot of tracks have it as well . The Sunoco Supreme would be the better choice between the two brands .The direct comparison would be Supreme to C-12 .
Several race fuel manufacturers ( one in particular ) have gone to silly lengths to confuse the selection process of race gas by the racer . Their number designations were never intended to signify actual octane rating , it's a marketing tool .
To choose the correct race gas from any manufacturer , you need to know several things . First , the important number to know ( not the only important one , but the most important one ) is the Motor Octane number . Next , determine the actual octane requirement of your engine . The engine builder is the best source for that , but you can also go to any race fuel manufacturers web site and get recommendations related to your staic compression ratio . Then compare the available race fuels on specs , price , quality , and availability .

Mike, Local track has Sunoco only in 5gal pails and its close to $70!! I was looking to buy a drum but having a hard time finding where..
Seems like VP is just about everywhere in 5 gal pails or drums...

Ron, I have a E85 carb that Mark and Bruce are helping me with but need a tune up to start with.. Anyway the E85 here now has alot more gas in it so going to have to wait for the summer blend I guess....
If the E85 don't work but don't see why not I think the parts I have may work with Alky so I may go there...We will see..

Methanol around here last year was $175 a drum up $40 from what I paid in 2009 when I bought 2 drums. Haven't checked yet this season but I've got to buy some as I'm out. C12 was $10.50 a gallon at Kowalsky's last fall. I'm holding my breath now as I've heard there was another price increase and I've got to get some of that for testing this spring.

E85 is looking better all the time even if I do have to drive 70 miles to buy it!!!

Tell me again why I keep doing this?? :-

Barry, every time I try to find time to run the 1250 I get sideswiped with other work, as well as having some family move in with us. I'll see if I can sneak it on the car soon.

C-12 at MIR is 9.95 per gallon out of the pump and 9.45 for 55 gallons. I checked with Jason about a month ago and that price was still good. I think alky was 4.75 and 4.25. Is MIR within 70 miles?
