I would lean more with Shrinker on the additives they use in the methanol. I have never had any problems using klotz or alky top lube. I feel its better for lubricating the valve stems rather than the fuel system. I did get a weird paste in my carb bowles running that nitro made for remote cars and planes , but it has a lot of lube in it. Quick fuel thought it was a chemical reaction with the coating they use on their fuel bowles.

The lube does leave a build up in my intake manifold runners though.

The only problem I have had with barrel valve seals on injection is running m-5 if you run it you will replace the o rings. I use toluene 1 quart to 5 gallons in my nitro mixture I mix myself and I have not had any o ring problems with it.

If you have ever fooled with model airplanes with glow engines on them then you will remember that only silicon hose would work with that fuel, which is methanol with nitromethane in it mixed with either Klotz or castor oil.

After having to replace the viton O rings on the needle seats every season I finally ordered some silicone O rings from McMaster Carr and they have worked OK now for a couple of years. That might be something you would want to look at for your barrel valve in the future. ;-)
