I bought a K&N stub stack for a Dominator at a swap meet. I've read on other forums they don't work and cause problems because of the airflow going across the top of the vent tubes screws up the metering. Would this still be an issue if I use longer vent tubes and have them connected by a flute? This will be used on an old style 1050 Dominator. Looking at how flat the top of the carb is, I think airflow into it would definitely be improved. If this will work, what other changes would I need to make such as jetting, airbleeds, etc.?
