If you are going to do all the drilling, tapping, and main well work anyways why not just start with a set of cheapo Pro Comp blocks? The castings are nicer than old Holley castings, but not as nice as the BLP or billet stuff. For $20 a block its hard to go wrong -- especially if you are "just playing" with an old carb.

Ken - I dont believe the check was ever cashed . I watched for awhile and then got tired of looking. I'll go back and check again. I think Tuner just didnt want to do it so he didnt. He could have told me that up front. I was very disappointed after all the good things I heard about his abilities.

Ken - I am sure he is a busy guy. He told me got the check and I talked to him on the phone after that. Said he would ship them right out. I senta couple of PM's to him later asking about his progress but he never responded. I called and left a message on the phone once or twice also. I was very surprised at the way I was dealt with. I would have just as easily accepted a "I dont want to do them" message better than being ignored. Dennis

I was very surprised he never contacted me. He never answered the pm's either. If I remember correctly they sit in my outbox until he opens them. They were gone but I got no reply. Ken I am sure as an Admin you can go back and read my PM's. I have no problem with that. Not my intention to bad mouth the man. Just stating the facts. He struck me as a very nice guy. Way laid back. Dennis

While I don't agree (and I told him this a few weeks back) with his decision not to contact Dennis and tell him this, ultimately he is the one that is responsible for his own actions. I can tell you that the check Dennis sent never got cashed (and Dennis confirmed it has never returned to his bank) so there was no money lost. Only real problems are that it cost Dennis some time and aggravation.

Ken said it pretty well. I lost nothing but time. I still dont know why he decided to not do the blocks. I have not heard from him. I have moved on.
