with our 496 we are running Fab Shop merge headers. The specs:
*2 1/8" primary
*2 1/4" step
*merge collector
*3 1/4 at merge point
*3 7/8 at opening
*overall collector length 12"
*from tubes to collector merge 6"

How does this compare to what some of y'all are running? I am considering experimenting with a conventional, [non-merge] collector. Let me hear your thoughts.

Also, this engine makes about 780 or so horsepower and the operating range is about 6200 - 7500 RPM

Larry I think the only "real" way to see the difference is to ether 1-track test them or dyno test them..
I would prefer to track test them as we don't race on the dyno but if your going there I would do a back to back test with them for the heck of it...

I have a set of "fab shop headers" on my Beretta and they do look like no other headers. Very nice smooth bends and real nice welds with less pieces of tubing welded together..RIP Tim.....
