How many here use total seal gapless rings?
I have heard pros and cons.
I am concidering trying a set but would like to hear some feed back.

Randy, there was a bunch of discussion here a few years back concerning ring packs buy both Rick360, Ken0069 and others. My suggestion to you is to use the "Search" function at the top of the page for posts by both Rich360 and Ken0069 and you'll find a bunch of info on this topic as both Rick and I were doing a build about the same time. Oh, and if memory serves, his build wound up in the Engine Masters Series and I think they placed somewhere around 4th or 5th there.

I have been using total seal since 1989 and have never had a problem they seal very well the one thing i like most besides the total seal 2nd ring is their low tension oil ring ( gold ) series..

if i put a needle style torque wrnch on a 350 chevy with their TS1 race rings and gold oil control usualy about 8 ftlbs to turn over assembled short block..

ever since the 1st time i used a set of these rings i never looked back every race engine I assemble ends up with a set of total seals..

alky injected and always use zgs rings as "insurance " to keep oil happy.
never saw the gains or ring flutter other have quoted.
my stuff is built for the long haul and i like em
