let me hear about a cam for my 496 BBC. I would like to know about cams you have personal experience with that are proven good performers.

*dragster weighs about 1750 with driver
*496 BBC with Dart 335 CNC heads
*454R intake
*1150 APD gas carb
*14:1 compression
*T & D 1.8 rockers
*2 1/8 x 2 1/4 headers
*1.69 low with 4.57 rear gear
*8" Hughes spragless about 6200 stall
*1/8 drag racing
*shift about 7400 RPM

Expected performance = 4.98 - 5.05 range

Let me know what else you need to know.

The link has some photos of our Land Shark

Lunati R280/284 or a Erson Grind R310/430B R318/430B 110+2 lobe seperation angle. They sound big, but at that weight you'll be fine and they'll really work well with the CNC 335's. Those heads are GREAT!

I have run both in a 2300 lb. Car with good success.

Did you choose a cam?
