How about this my SB2 topend is home now it's time to start ordering the parts, pieces, gaskets etc to set this on a 427".
Looking for a vendor who can supply these parts and offer advise on setting this SB2 up correctly. Will need a couple of adjustable push rods for checking length and the info for intial setting of rocker adjusters.Would really like to find a manual or any publication to explain all there is to know about an SB2 motor.HELP!!

Mark and Scott Smith have posted a ton about the sb2s over the last few years. None of it is all in one place but after lots of searching I was able to get a good enough idea about the sb2s quirks. I did my first sb2 last year but Im not a newbie to race motors. It all went way easier than an over the top 23dg sbc for sure.

So far you have been right,Scott at M&M has taken away all the anxiety about putting this SB2 motor together. It's all a matter of focusing on one thing at a time.Except for a few special tools aka intake runner headbolt wrench, and making sure rockers, stands and push rods are right it is pretty straight forward.
