I was going to have my intake powder coated but after seeing some of the intakes done by NitroPlate I have decided to send my intake to them.

I have several intakes here, in use. Some were polished before being coated and some were just coated in the "rough". I also have several headers that have been coated and have many many starts on the dyno. I also have some valve covers that we had coated that came out just great. I also have had several exhaust manifolds and intakes coated for restoration motors and Kevin did those in "satin" so that they looked original. He also has a gray coating for exhaust manifolds that looks completely original and I have used those on restoration vehicles. He was telling me some time ago that they did a set of small block Chevy heads in the ceramic. He also can add color tints to them. Another item of interest is that I have had gasoline spill on intakes and headers and burn and actually turn the coating smut black. Kevin told me just to take Mothers Polish and wipe down. It completely removed all discoloration and returned them to just like new. try that with any other coating, especially powder coat
Here is their link for you that are interested.
