I would like to know if the Gen VI block is strong enough to put a 4.375" stoke crank in. I am currently using a 4" stroke crank and I do not feel that going to a 4.250" crank is worth the effort.

A well known engine builder advised me the stroke was no problem, but with a +400 rod the wrist pin location in the piston would be on the weak side. His advice was to stay with the 4.250" stroke and go with the 4.600" bore. It looks like 565 c.i. will be the best I can do with this block.

Maverick :-k
