I was gonna say that the MPH was kinda low for that ET but then I saw where you posted that it was on the rev limiter. Studebaker went 10.09 @ 134 and change at Rockingham Super Chevy a few years back so I was figuring that a 9.87 "should" have been up around 140 MPH.

OH, and congrats!! ;-)

That is with my demon carb. Rev limiter is at 7800. That think sounds so good up there.

I figure it probably should have been around 135 mph, I don't think my car is as aerodynamically efficiently as your Studebaker.

Also the sixty is with the rear tires.

Thank you,

Oh, and the car did respond to more fuel and less fuel pressure. It was running faster than it was in Dallas in November in worse air. So I am getting close to an optimal tune.

I do however think that I have too much gear in it. I changed from the 4.56 to 4.86s a while back. I may have picked up a little in sixty but there really doesn't seen to be much et difference. It does however like to wheelie. People told me on this pass, car carried the tires out over 100 feet and front wheels were probably 5 feet in the air. But It now seems to be more temperamental with the track surface, where before, it would never turn the tire. I also think it will pull stronger through the top end. Engine made peak hp at 7000 rpms and I ran it to 7800. Going back on the gear change should bring it to around 7400-7500, which in my opinion would be more optimal.

Hopefully they will have the 1/4 mile clocks on when I go back in two weeks, I think I should be able to get some 9.7s out of it keeping it off the rev limiter and keeping the engine in a more useable range.
