In doing some trades on race parts I ended up with a Wilson carb spacer. It happens to be bonded on to a 1" open aluminum spacer. Its stuck on there with what appears to be Black Max rtv. Lots of rtv! I want to get them apart but dont really want to drive a screwdriver in between them. Is there something I can soak it in that will attack the rtv?

Methanol might do it if you leave it soak for a while. Gas will break it down also if you soak it in it too.
