I'm leaving in a few minutes headed to Roxboro tonight for a test on that "new to me" methanol 1150 Dominator. Pit Bitch is in Charlotte, NC so I'm flying solo tonight.

Wish me luck! ;-)

BAD DAY! Truck had charging problems that put me a half hour late getting there.

First pass had to lift when it got loose down track then the car broke a distributor cap on the second pass just after the gear change!! [-( [-(

That's about 200 miles round trip and $65 in fuel for a pass and a half? [-(

I did make it home OK though so that's a good thing!

When a screw that holds the rotor button on comes out at 7700 RPM! O:)

Lord only knows how many passes were on that thing before it finally came out though as the rotor button is at least 4 years old now? I guess I need to start using locktite on everything as this is a FIRST in my lifetime!

On another note, first pass data showed that the AFRs down track were pretty much flat line after the gear change and I had put some jet in it for the second pass to see if I could phatten it up a bit. Will look at that data later on today as I'm going back to bed now since I didn't get my 8 hours of sleep. ;-)

UPDATE: NO, AFRs were NOT flat line on that aborted first pass! ](*,) It still went lean on #1 until up around the gear change then trailed off going a little richer until I aborted the run when it got loose.

Well, I don't know what I was thinking the other day nor wtf I was looking at but I went through those logs today and that first aborted pass isn't as bad as I though? More jet and MAB and it just "might" be usable so I won't scrap it quite yet. \:D/
