Was planning a trip to Eastside Speedway in Waynesboro, Va tomorrow but looks like we may get rained out yet again as a front is moving through. DAYUMNIT! [-(

We have a stick car race in Owingsville tomorrow and the forecast isn't looking so good for it. It's about a 2 hour drive so we'll probably check the forecast in the morning and make a couple calls before we leave.

Our time runs are supposed to start at 4 and the weather is supposed to be through there by 1:00, 2:00 at the latest so we are going. Should be leaving here by 12:45. Just waiting for Eddy to get here. Looks like it will be a late night of racing and hope to be home by 1:30 in the AM.

Clouds moved in here about 45 minutes ago and according to the weather map, it's a bunch more on the way. I scrubbed the trip! That's around 140 miles round trip so I'm not going to risk it knowing what's coming. [-(

Sunny and cool here in Iowa. NHRA division 5 race going strong about an hour up the interstate. Of course I had to mow the lawn today. I will be there tomorrow for eliminations.

Got race cancellation notice via Email today around 3PM so it was a good call on my part. But then again, I probably wouldn't have left the shop until around 4pm. If I had planned to go I would have had the car loaded though.

Oh well. There's always next week and Roxboro is open on Wednesday night! ;-)

We got our race in...sorta. They had timing system trouble and they were messing with it all night. I think it was a timing system problem that put me out at 3 cars [-( . We didn't get home until nearly 3 and it was about 3:30 when I got in bed then it was up at 6:30 and off to watch the rain delayed US Nationals at Indy. I'm feelin' pretty whooped right now.
