Just about ready to take the roadster out for TNT (planning Wednesday).
Same roadster I ran a few years ago with a different engine. Details below.

Let's hear your guesses about what it will run. (1/8 mile guesses)

Car-
Weight - ~2000lbs
Gear- 4.56
Trans - Powerglide; 1.82 low and trans-brake
Converter - A1 8" race converter; stalls 4800 with this engine.
Tires - 16 - 33 -15 Hoosier slicks

Engine-
355ci - very mild street engine
Heads - Vortec 062 (Production) castings with very mild cleanup. Flow 240cfm max @ .450" lift, less at higher lifts.
Intake - Edelbrock Performer for Vortec. - stock, NO port work, NO spacer
Carb - Holley 750DP, no mods
Pistons - Dished 8.5:1 compression, stock rings
Headers - 2" primaries into Flowmaster collector mufflers
Cam - 234º/234º @ .050", .480"/.480" lift, 112º LSA hydraulic flat tappet.
Fuel - 87octane pump gas (same as truck and mower)

Didn't bother posting results due to lack of interest.

After a trans problem the first time out and putting the dragster trans & converter in it ran a 6.77 @ 98. Air was ~3000DA
Oh, and I weighed it ... 1930#. It's not a killer but looks like it might be consistent.

Gotta get cooler here for me to take it racing. :-({|=

Rick

PS: Shrinker was the only one who guessed and he didn't win cause he was so far off. =;

I guess that's respectable enough, and cheap to run as well. Now you watch, that thing will probably win you more races than anything else you've ever owned. So much so that I'll bet you think twice about selling it!! ;-)

Rick, There is more interest here than you realize. I didnt guess because I suck at making those predictions. I do however enjoy reading about how you did and will enjoy any progress updates and upgrades.

X2.... I'm always interested in what you post, some of us aren't as outgoing as others.

Yeah, I didn't make a guess either cuz I didn't have a clue. The engine specs said POS stocker but I knew that car was going to be light. Just couldn't come up with a number is all.

Next thing I want to see is a PM with a write up for that win! ;-) With no more engine than that, I'll bet that thing will hook in a mud hole! =;
