Am I aloud to drill a hole or screw a part to my roll cage.

I think you can do whatever you want to bars in the engine compartment. The chassis cert is for the cage area, but I know I've seen cars with mounting holes in bars in the cage also.

Jeff I drilled 1/8 holes in mine to attach wire to and also the overhead switch box and my logger to. Also same holes for the brake lines...Here a couple pictures...

I use zip ties on the dragster chassis but the brake lines (rear only) are run inside the frame tube. And if it needs to be fasten REALLY good, I use SS hose clamps as THAT is all that's holding the front of the ENGINE in the chassis! O:) \:D/

Ditto here. for bigger stuff you usually will want to weld in a threaded insert.

Heck, on the closed tube ends where welding is done, my chassis (Willie Rells) drilled 1/8" holes for the welding gas to escape.
