Yeah, good luck guys. We're off to Roxboro again tomorrow night to see if I can get a full pass on this dragster. Just hope that you and I both can bring'em home in one piece! ;-)

Boy did things get wild on the laughing gas for the Elkyman!!!!!
First attemp, I put the Elky on the back bumper O:) yep, all 3525lbs of it and I took home some historic track souveniors from my oil pan \:D/ \:D/ Yep, you got it, I did an up and down and then BANG on the track with my oil pan and it just happened so fast too #-o !. So, I de-tuned it a bit, and checked things out and I had good oil psi and fuel so back for the 2nd hit at 8's. Steve put me in the box and I got some rubber hot and hit the line, Steve lined me up in some gooey stuff that stuck like glue and the Elky went up again, but only about a foot or two, then back down to Earth and off she went for her first 8 sec. pass at a 8.95 @ 150.65 mph \:D/ \:D/ Sure am glad Indy is one long race track, cause trying to stop this boat is a chore....

Well, I finally got my numbers, now it is time to fine tune things and try to take some cash home this weekend to buy a new oil pan :- it was fun and exciting though for sure and it still hasn't hit me yet that it did what it did, Nitrous is simply amazing!!!! :-$

More tomorrow as we did one qualif. pass and my class is based on a reacton time on the tree and I went .051 red, but I have two more trys to hit a decent tree, and the 3rd car down goes triple 0's on the tree!!!
I'm like now how are we suppose to compete with that crap!!! :-

Jake did well also, but I will let Steve fill yall in, but he was runnin fast, how's that? ;-)

More later, and I hope others do well this weekend too ;-) Video to come Ummmm SUE!!!! =;

John

Well I'm back =; This weekend wore me out between Elkyman and Jake :- The Elky was killer O:) I love seeing it stand straight up. John just needs to work on his landings ;-) Indy is one very fast track. 3 Pro street cars got into the 5's \:D/ \:D/ Chris Reni was first with a 5.98 then Bill Lutz with a 5.99 then later on on Sunday one ran a 5.97. O:) Normally when the DA is above 2000' I pull all the tune out but this weekend at 2500' I was running a tune for 1300' and still running 10.99. Fri night the air was 1700' and I added more fuel and the car ran 11.021. Qualified 4th. Sat late morning air was almost the same Temp,humid,water grains and DA. I left the fuel level the same as he pulled in the pits. One trip around from pit to pit took 1/8 of a tank. (13 gal tank) The wagon ran 10.938 #-o That night at 11pm (almost 12 hours later) the DA was about 1100' so I tuned it slower and it ran 11.023. Good for 5th. Sun morning at 11 am DA was about 1300' Jake ran it all out cause he couldn't catch the other car and ran a 10.999. the other guy was 11.28 on a 11.50. The next round at around 5 pm Jake had a bad light .100 to a .058 I left him some ET incase he needed it. He crossed first by .008 but ran a 10.97 and the other guy was dead on 12.003 on a 12. O:) The days were long 8 am to 11:30 pm.

Is that a "cammer" engine in what looks like a Mercury Comet? :-k Or is it a Fairlane?
