My name is Don Miller and I am addicted to drag racing. After a 25 year off season to regroup, I am building a 1982 Camaro for a local 9.60 index class called C/Gas. It's a garage built , back halved Craigslist find that I rescued from a field. The car is about 90% done and kind of looks like this:

Found this place when searching dominator 2 circuit conversions, and have been lurking ever since. This place seems to have all the knowledge without the drama.....If you know what I mean.

Something a little different but catching on....A 416ci LS3

I am hoping for 700fwhp. It's a 4.070x4.0 forged bottom end with 13.6-1 CR. The cam is a hydralic roller with specs of 247.265 and .638 lift, 112lc installed 4 degrees adv. Heads are GM LS3 with the stock liteweight valves and ported by WCCH. GM provided the front mount dizzy setup as I know nothing about ECM's or fuel injection, hense the Holley Hi-Ram intake with a 8896-1 on top...

What do you think? Am I out in left field?

Welcome and put 2 carbys on it not one. Better cylinder distribution that way. Its all set up for a proper tunnel ram, go for it. Make the top bit .

Just might Shrinker, just might....If this thing doesnt do what I plan, then I just might. On a related note, I was told the pented roof design of the top was specifically intended for TR's with single 4bbls? Ole' wives tale maybe then?

Yeah well when ever I see a setup like that there is not much going on power wise in the outboard cylinders. The angle of the roof is way too steep for the correct flow of air and the fuel to go with it. Twin carby it and there will be zero issues with that stuff. What happens is exhaust reversion builds up in the corners, and depending on the firing order and cam selection as to how serious it gets. It usually shows up at idle and the immediate response parts of driving, once its underway its OK but its still lost time on the strip because the engine has to recover from idling. It takes up to 4 seconds for a small plenum engine to recover a contaminated manifold to fresh air again. Seen it do that many times. People need to get gas benches.
