The Oz cars are correctly designed, the US ones are not. Think about this, the problem is right rear unloading so why would you want to place the driver on the left? If your going to build a car with offset center of gravity then placing the driver on the right hand side reduces the need to weight jack the right rear, thus you finish up with a more even fourlink configuration side to side.

Thank Guys, as you can see in my pic my hoosiers are wadding a bit I run 7.5 might try 10. I think tire is taking the job of the shock. Do you guys use anti roll bars or stop body roll through stiffer rear compression? As for drivers side seating we are right..... Steve...

Use an anti roll bar. I've made some for racers, use 3" hydraulic tubing mounted in bearings. They dont flex and go faster. Zero flex is the aim so why install a stupid little one like most people do. Just do overkill and it has to work. I get people to make an accurate wire model of their chassis, then they start flexing it and playing with chassis bar locations. Its the cheapest and best way for a racer to see flex and chassis problems. Its real world engineering thats better than stress analysis in my book. Make a model about 400mm long is usually a good start and use welding wire. Solder the joints with a soldering iron then its easy to break and redo etc. You will be very surprised if you make one at what you will learn. The reason for making a model is to improve the chassis rigidity because it has to be rigid from the from the engine to the rear axle and if you install a anti roll bar and the chassis is butter then there is no gain.

Hey, I wouldn't expect anything different from someone that lives their entire life upside down. And along that line, I've always wondered why boats here in the "States" are right side drive when cars etc are on the left??

Yeah thats a good one Ken. Well the race boats here have the driver on the left. General boats have the driver on the right. All I can say is the US is up. Now Im sure you will agree with that but probably on a different subject line. We might be upside down but at least we can think clearly with all the blood rush.
