Names Bill, from benton Ky. I drive a 92 Mustang coupe. It was a street car till the alky conversion. Its went a best of 6.82 on gas and 6.77 on alky. Very mild combo, 302, stock bore, stock pistons, air gap intake, custom cam, AFR 185 heads, Rupert 750 alky carb, 1 3/4 headers with bullets bolted to collectors, c4 trans, 4200 converter, 4.10 gears. On gas it has went 10.92 in qtr mile. Just installed a cage finally. Got tired of tech bashing me at NMRA events. Tow rig is a 01 F150 4x4 super crew. Love racing and this looks like a very informative site. Thanks for having me.

Thanks, our times are similar. I just wish my car would leave like that. my car is a slug, or looks like it on launch anyway.

It looks that way because of all the weight on the rear tires. That wagon would probably hook in a mud hole! O:) That 1955 Studebaker I have has 54% of the car weight on the rear tires @ 1860lbs and it's pretty much the same way.

I have seen some of those Mustangs that hook also but I've never worked on one to know how that's done.

Oh, and welcome again Bill!! ;-)
