Hi all, I was into cars from a young age and then fuel injection came along and I stopped working on cars for a good 20 years

I recently (2 years ago) bought an 88 Mustang notch and learned fuel injection.

Last winter I ditched the fuel injection in favor of a super vic jr and 650 dp .

I swapped out the main body for a proform mainbody and have the car tuned pretty good now I am just missing traction on street tires this year I ran a 14.1 @ 102.5 mph , best last year with slicks and fuel injection was 13.75@ 100 mph.

Looks like it may be next year until I have slicks on it again.

Hey, welcome again. Chuck, aka, gearhead1011 is our resident Phord guy but then again, some stuff on these engines isn't necessarily brand specific as they're all just basically an air pump of sorts.

I see you've gotten your performance with the carb at or better than with the EFI once you get some stickies for the rear.

Ennywho, be nice to see a pic or two down in the "Show Your Stuff" section so we can see what your ride looks like. ;-)

Originally from Hamilton , moved to Alberta when I was young joined the electrical union and worked Fort McMoney Athabasca pulp and paper mill, Dow chemical Joffre and a whole bunch of commercial work in and around Edmonton for 16 years. Fell in love with a french girl and the last 13 years have been spent in and around Montreal running a Tim Hortons with the near future being I retire the father in Law and buy it from him.

Cool, I was born and raised in Edmonton. Got tired of the cold and needed a change. With my education/experience (technology) was able to come south and work. Went through a lengthy process, but now have dual citizenship and have been in the Portland, OR area for the last 12 years.
